We visited Fortunato’s during our visit to Brooklyn, and to say the least, it was amazing. I had to talk my self out of buying 1 of everything (at least 1). The gelato, the pastries, cookies, cakes, cheesecakes. The list goes on. This place is a must when visiting Brooklyn.

I came here for my birthday for cake and pastries with my sister, out of this world!!! I'm definitely going to go back for a pistachio lobster tail, best pastry I had all summer! We got the rainbow cookie cheesecake for the birthday cake, everyone was so pleased, we picked out more sweets from the case, got all three cannolis - hazelnut, pistachio and regular. All everyone enjoyed! Thank you so much for making my birthday special ????

I am not native to New York or Brooklyn, but came for a visit and was on the hunt for an authentic sfgoliatella. Boy did I find it here! Upon arriving to the bakery, the owner was out front enjoying the sunshine with his buddies that just added to that classic Italian Bakery feel. The selection of pastries and cookies was exactly what I was looking for. I ordered a Sfogliatella and an latte to eat there and got a box of cookies to take home and it was all wonderful. Seating along the window was nice and warm and made for good people watching. Loved the ambiance, and authentic Italian charm.

What a great bakery! We sat in a really cozy seat in the back corner with plenty of sun light. Delicious food and expresso drinks. We took the recommendation of the pastry assortment. Everything was top notch. Especially the Lobster Tail which is my old favorite. Super creamy and crispy. The rainbow cake is a must try too. Excellent staff service. Can’t wait to go back again.

Ok I can't say enough about this place. I don't think I can ever eat a donut from anywhere else. Their pastries are AMAZING! This was the second visit my sister and I made to Fortunato because we weren't sure if the first time was a dream. Their stuff is ????????????????. I haven't had one bad item there so far. And when I tasted that lobster claw... Well I think my soul left my body. EX..CEL..LENT! ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Possibly the cleanest public bathroom I’ve ever pooped in in my entire life. The pastries are good too

I have died and gone to bakery heaven - right here in Brooklyn! Their cakes, Gelato etc. are INCREDIBLY palatable! I'm addicted!

Fortunato is my FAVORITE EVER! everything there is delicious, the environment is really nice, and it is always fun to hear all the loud Italians laughing!

Fortunato Brothers, you rock! Years ago, my cousin packed up her family and moved to Virginia. I'm going to see everyone before heading to my timeshare. She tells me: Billy, can you bring some Italian cookies? And bread! Oh how we miss good New York bread. Now I'm on a mission, where can I zap in, grab the goods and zap out? Fortunato Brothers is my go to, grab the goods and hit the highway. I walk into an empty store. I see rows and rows of Italian baked goods. I'm going to order a few pounds of Italian cookies and I was told bread! They haven't has good Italian bread in years. The bread was still warm when they put it in the bag. The final product? C'mon, it's a Brooklyn Italian bakery! The Sfogliatel was fresh and had a nice crunch. How do I know? I was driving south on I95 and busted open the box of pastries! How could you not, the smell is intoxicating and calling me: Bill S... This is a bakery and not a sit down restaurant, you won't be on your laptop all day sippin' lattes.

Always love Fortunato Brothers cakes - for as long as I can remember, since I was a little kid in Brooklyn, my family and I have Fortunato's cakes every time. Our top favorite will always be a coffee cake! Such a delectable cake that's perfectly moist and rich. It's a delightful treat that pairs wonderfully with coffee or milk, so good! Service was super quick and great, and such a nice spot if you're ever in the neighborhood in need of a sweet gelato for the hot summer days!
